This One-piece Civil War Work Dress is period accurate and brand new.
This dress can also be worn over a small (95") hoop and accesorized to become a day dress.
The Dress is made from a blue cotton floral print with a cream backround.
This dress also features the following period accurate design elements and sewing techniques.
Pleated Bodice w/darted lining
Coat Sleeves which are easy to keep up on your arm if you are doing camp work like washing dishes.
Jewel Neckline which is the most common neckline for work dresses
The 1.5" Waistband keeps with the common period design elements
The Hook & Eye Front Closure allows for minimal gapping and reduces the chances of catching on something and tearing your dress as compared to a button closure.
Self-fabric Piping at the Neck, Waist, Armsyce, and Wrist. Piping is a period technique that reinforces the seams that experienced the most stress.

Please Note: The common term for this type of dress in the reenactment community is the "camp dress", however this term is not found in any period sources. Even though it is acceptable to call this a camp dress I choose to call it a work dress or laundry dress. Thank you.
