Vendor's

The West Virginian Sutler is looking to move from the internet only world to a brick & mortar store. We are looking for talented artisans to rent space in our store to showcase and sell their work. The West Virginian Sutler is working towards a mid-March open date, but we need your help to get started.

Most types of crafts and artwork are allowed. A variety of crafts are desired, such as, but not limited to, quilting, cross stitching, crocheting, knitting, woodworking, jewelry making, candle making, sewing, embroidery, ceramics, homemade beauty product, etc.

The rent is $50 for 8 sq. ft. of horizontal space for a time span of one (1) month. Pricing may be adjusted for large blankets (i.e. quilts, afghans) or large pieces that may require floor space. Products can be refilled as necessary during the course of the month. All products will be displayed and arranged by the West Virginian Sutler, but we will take into consideration any design or display techniques that you have found works well for your products. The products may be interspersed with others to promote the overall flow of the store. There will be not set space that belongs to any given vendor.

All products must be approved by management before any contract will be signed. All crafts and artwork must be handmade by the artisan. A courtesy call will be given so that the vendor can refill if any products get low during the month. Floor and wall space is limited and divided on a first come first serve basis. We need eight (8) more vendors to sign up before we can open. No contracts will be signed or payments due until our open date is confirmed. Local product drop off is not required. Products can be shipped in to the store.

The West Virginian Sutler is a historical boutique and gift shop that specializes in historically accurate clothing and handmade products. We have been in business since 2005 and have sold most of our product via Ebay, Etsy and our company website. This is a family company owned by a mother-daughter duo. Combined they have over 50 years of sewing experience and over 25 years in woodworking and other crafts. We currently have products in 28 states and have outgrown our modest home operation.
